I am working with Kuensel, Bhutan's daily newspaper as a Bureau Correspondent. I started my career as sports reporter, covering a beat that is given a minimum coverage after rural reporting in Bhutan today. I am trying to change it with my interest and passion.I got an opportunity to cover world's grandest sports event of 2018 FIFA World Cup in Moscow, Russia as a sports reporter and many other Asian and South Asian level competitions. I did my post graduate Diploma from one of the best journalism schools in Asia - Asian College of Journalism in Chennai, India. The course helped me focus on deprivation and issues that are not often reaching the mainstream coverage in Bhutan. I am 28 years old from eastern part of Bhutan. My areas of interest are environment, policy, local government, culture and climate change.

An unexpected journey back home – KuenselOnline

In Kuwait around June, the Covid-19 outbreak was surging. The virus was claiming lives almost daily. The safest place, Tandin Wangmo remembers, was home. The company she was working with had her working every day. But, somehow, she managed a break and headed home to Bhutan. She landed in Paro on June 26.

Laya struggles to retain students in school – KuenselOnline

The school administration had been arranging talks on the importance of education by guest speakers during parent teacher meetings and gewog meetings. The school is studying the drop out situation to come up with measures to retain students.

Making of a drug-and alcohol free society – KuenselOnline

Thirteen volunteers consisting of recovering addicts and young graduates turned up for the national drug awareness campaign recently. The excursion team started bicycle ride from the capital on 14 April. They were dressed uniformly, orange vest adorned with bright yellow stripe written “SAY NO TO DRUGS AND ALCOHOL”.
